Sea Eagle Safari by boat at Sommarøy - Excluding Transfer

This tour does not include a transfer from and back to Tromsø. Please meet up at our activity center on Sommarøy 15 minutes before departure time.

Join us on a guided daytime boat tour around the beautiful islands of Sommarøy, home to a large colony of sea eagles. From our warm and comfortable boat, we search the cliffs and coastlines for these impressive birds with wingspans over two meters. You may also spot sea otters, porpoises, tysties and other sea birds along the way. When the weather allows, we cross to the exposed coast of Senja and go ashore to visit the historic Hekkingen lighthouse. Climb to the top of the tower for a stunning 360-degree view of the sea and mountains. Your guide will share stories and facts about the wildlife and the area’s history. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore the charming fishing village of Sommarøy.
