Sami Experience
Step into the world of the Sámi, the indigenous people of Arctic Scandinavia.
You will arrive by your own transport and meet your guide at the reception. The experience begins inside the reindeer pen, where you can feed the reindeer by hand with their favorite food, lichen. As you meet these majestic animals, your guide will share fascinating facts about reindeer herding and Sámi life.The tour continues to a traditional lavvu. On the way, you will have the chance to try lasso casting, a classic Sámi skill used for herding reindeer. Inside the lavvu, you will sit around the campfire while your guide shares stories from Sámi folklore and traditions. The experience ends with a performance of joik, the unique and soulful Sami style of singing.
